Personally I'd have the game screen start at the bottom and only have extra elements above it. You have a big dead space between the two cams - if you're keeping them you could move some of the other elements into that space instead of above & below game screen. Also, you can see my puppies in the background I’d also like to use a green screen for my cam but a big part of my stream is people controlling my Philip hue lights, and a green screen wrecks that a bit. I can use the chat if someone says something funny or I’m replying to them, because it’s actually in the video and not deleted from twitch after however many days! And for the chatting screens it’s fine but like… I wanna see gameplay lmaoĮdit:: I also like having chat on my screen for when I’m editing TikTok videos. I get overwhelmed sometimes watching peoples streams when there is so much happening. For example, last Christmas my gaming screen has cute Christmas lights all around the edges. The exception to this, that I am happy to use on my own stream and watch in others, is seasonal overlays. I also keep a little bar goal at the bottom of my stream to show what I’m working towards.

That can be full of different things like the chat, the cam, the social links, newest subs and followers, a goal etcīut when it comes to the actual gaming stream I like to keep it simple. I don’t mind what the just chatting screen looks like though. Maybe even themed to match the game, so it blends in. what better to put there than a different chat. If it can't be hidden in-game (or you want to still be able to see it yourself, for in-game reasons) covering it up leaves a chunk of dead-space, which means it's usable space. YOU are responsible for EVERYTHING that goes out on-stream, so if someone goes on a racist tirade in-game? You're on the hook, and Twitch absolutely has handed out suspensions/bans for others' in-game chat. Usually I'll just have my stream chat placed over where the in-game text chat is normally located you generally don't want to show in-game chat on-stream. which loses the chat, unless it's present on-stream. On a tablet, it can be nice to just fullscreen the stream. If you're on a smart-TV or console, the only way to see chat is if it's included on the stream, or you get your phone out to follow along there. It's useful for providing context on what the streamer is responding to, and is handy for people not watching on a computer. Thanks to /u/iTruthful and Conceptional for the art!
